Coin Identification by Name and Value in Cents

Identify and know the value of coins and show different combinations of coins that equal the same value.
Time: 40 minutes

- Cardboard coin box with slot for putting coin discretely into cup taped on other side
Objectives:
- Students will identify coins of different value (e.g. penny, nickel, dime, & quarter) by their front and back sides.
- Students will select or verify corresponding coin when asked to pay/receive a penny, nickel, dime or quarter.
- Students will select or verify corresponding coin when asked to pay/receive one cent, five cents, ten cents or twenty five cents.
